Mumbai real estate: Filmmaker Vidhu Vinod Chopra has bought a luxury apartment in Bandra West, Mumbai, for ₹7.75 crore from a company owned by filmmaker Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra.
Filmmaker Vidhu Vinod Chopra has purchased a luxury apartment in Bandra West, Mumbai, for ₹7.75 crore, according to property registration documents accessed by CRE Matrix.
The apartment was bought from Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra Pictures Private Limited, the production company of filmmaker Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra. Bharathi Mehra represented the seller during the transaction.
The apartment is located in Bahar Apartment on Pali Mala Road in Pali Hill, one of Mumbai's most premium residential areas.
According to the registration documents, the home has a carpet area of 698 sq ft. The property transaction was registered on June 30, 2026.
Vidhu Vinod Chopra paid ₹46.50 lakh as stamp duty and ₹30,000 as the registration fee to complete the purchase.
The documents show that Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra's company had purchased the same apartment in 2007 for around ₹1.20 crore.
The latest transaction reflects the steady rise in property prices in Pali Hill, which remains one of Mumbai's most expensive residential locations.
